As some of you might know, or probably not being that the media gave this minimum attention, Ted Haggard, President of the National Association of Evangelicals was exposed Friday by a male prostitute with whom Ted has had a secret relationship for 3 years. Ted of course, resigned immediately -- not admitting to his gay relationship but of purchasing meth... Here’s what the NAE have to say about these events:
“We are thankful for the grace and mercy of Christ who is able to forgive all sorts of sin. Yet, due to the seriousness of Rev. Haggard’s misconduct while in the leadership roles he held, we anticipate that an extended period of recovery will be appropriate. We pray that the overseers’ ministry to him will lead to his eventual moral healing, restoration in Christ, and service in the Church. We also pray for the man who has accused Rev. Haggard.”
This organization claims that homosexuals will burn in hell and then their leader is caught in a 3-year gay relationship. It’s times like this that I say I guess God DOES have a sense humor after all!!!
